Project Team
The grant holder for the project is Professor Doris Schroeder, the leading European expert on ethics & benefit sharing and Head of the Centre for Professional Ethics at the University of Central Lancashire. The South African team is headed by Roger Chennells, the South African barrister who negotiated the benefit-sharing deal on behalf of the San, and Dr Rachel Wynberg of the EEU, a leading expert on access and benefit-sharing and the Hoodia case. Advisors to the project come from Mexico, India, the Philippines, Australia (Ngemba people), the U.S., Kenya, and Spain.
